Medical Mission Trips
I have, but I forgot to add that I am currently looking for short term medical mission trips since I work a full time job at a hospital and I will only be able to go during my vacation times, which is two weeks at max at one vacation time.

Medical Mission Trips
Hello, are you involved with an organization? If so, which one?

Medical Mission Trips
One of the reasons why I wanted to actively do mission trips now is because I'm still single (will get marries soon) and do not have kids yet. I think once I have kids, it will be very difficult to be gone for even a week. I spoke with a Infectious Disease Doctor who goes to numerous mission trips, and he said Honduras and Haiti may be a good place to start out since it's rather safer now that so many people have gone volunteering.

Medical Mission Trips
Hello all, I've been an RN for about 1.5 years on a general medical floor in the midwest. I've ALWAYS wanted to go to a medical mission trip and see what is going on in the other world and help out. My question is, with which organizations have you been to a medical mission trip with? Which country did you go? How was the safety there (which is one of the biggest concern being safe in order to enjoy my stay)? Also, has anyone been to mission trips with Mission of Hope Haiti, or International Medical Relief (which are two organizations I was looking at)? Thank you!!

How long does it take to have your license issued?
omg tell me about it. I love how slow the process is so to get the temporary pass you are using to work, how long did it take that to come in mail? or is it something you print?? Sorry I'm just so anxious because I can't start looking for jobs without my license number for a lot of the hospitals!

Questions or content review? [NCLEX]
I would say do more of the questions if you can. Of course you need to know the basic contents, so it's good to review things you are not sure of and lab values, safety, some basic signs and symptoms of diseases that are repeated, but doing more and more questions will help you. I really feel like I studied a lot of contents, but very few were on it that I studied. I took the kaplan course, and I think doing kaplan questions over and over helped me prepare for it since some questions are very similar! Good luck!

How long does it take to have your license issued?
Do you know how long that will take? I don't mind working under someone else at all, but I took mine on the 26th and I'm wondering whether I can work from July 9th...
-
I think I Passed at 76 questions with only 4 SATA (Select All That Apply)
Maybe you should buy the kaplan question book. it's prob around $40~$50. I took the actual $400 kaplan course, and although I don't think it was worth it to pay that much money, the questions were really similar and I felt that the kaplan questions are actually more trickier and more difficult than the NCLEX. good luck!

How long does it take to have your license issued?
My professor told me that others will be able to check NCLEX results in 3 days, and once others can see your results, you are legal to work. Does anyone know if it's true? I live in Illinois. I have a summer nursing job in like 10days, but I just took my NCLEX today and will get my results on the 29th. I really hope they post the results for others by the third date...

Done nclex but don't have guts to do pvt
I was shaking as well when I checked the PVT, but I got the good pop-up, and so did my friend who literally said she failed after having 140 Qs. I think today is a good day, so try it out! and If not, you always have another chance :) I think we all sometimes forget that we are fortune enough to even be scared about taking these exams because some people don't even have the opportunity we do. Fingers crossed for all of us that we passed!

How to correctly round the number according to KAPLAN?
I actually took my NCLEX this morning, and had a med question. I rounded it up today, but honestly wasn't sure. But I know for peds meds, I think you never round up since peds doses are so small and even a little bit can cause toxicity. But I only had one medication question, and I didn't have medications and lab values that much than I expected. I would know positions and procedures as well!

NCLEX is over!
Congrats! I got the good pop up too, but I really hope it's true!!! :)

You're done :) I'm taking mine tomorrow morning at 8am, and I feel like my heart is going to pop out any minute. I'm so nervous, anxious, scared, and every other emotion I can ever think of...lol I just can't wait to finish the exam and finally start on my summer break!!(along with the job hunting...) congrats :) and I would also be too scared to check the pop-up thing too...haha
