Is Chamberlain College of Nursing (Miramar FL) reputable?

If you dont mind me asking,Do you have an idea why some people was turn down, since i know its a new campus, and they dont have that many students. their first class havent graduated yet. How many students they will take this october? Also hows the program over there. I already turn in my application, got the hesi score of 76.86 overall, but my advisor told me she look at only the math/english/reading, which make me have a 82%, have a 2.9GPA.

    Chaimberlain Miramar

Actually is the same thing for me , i will complete only 2 years instead of 3. Since i have completed my AA from Broward College. ALso the first class start in oct 29th , and i think the other one is in March. Do they have one in January as you mentioned? For the Accreditation i actually called the CCNE agency and chamberlain is accredited by them, also i have notice schools of nursing like FAU, NOVA, palm beach state , ect..are also accredited by CCNE, so im not sure if they dont have SACS is a problem. If you dont mind me asking, hows the HESI exam, im planning to take it next Wednesday? and also could you please remind me how the schedule will be, remember the advisor told Mon-Fri from 9-4, not sure.

    Broward college May 2012

i am little confuse about that deferred seat from some students for the nursing program. i thought bc doesnt have a waiting list. each time everyone has to reapply?, so if some ppl deferred their seat for this august 2012 coming up, does it means there will a limited seat for the other ppl coming in? it got me a little anxious, because i applied for the august with 9pts, and i really want to get in, with all those deferred seat from other ppl, would that take my chance away to start the program in august?

Thank you so much , those information will be very helpful, and i am planning on contacting the nursing department to ask about the study guide. I really dont mind the hard work, an d have had online classes before where i have to post discussions every week and more. I also already took my AA, so i have mostly all the prerequisiste, just need a few more as required by ISU. Now you said to get the RN NCLEX book, i only have PN NCLEX books like Saunders and Kaplan and my MEd surg book which contains the chapters of Mental aspects and more. do you think those will works with the ISU study guide. You said the assessment class is a clinical class, so should i already looking for a preceptor and clinical site ( if school provide a list) or is it jus a regular class, where there is lecture and clinical?. WHat about for clinical, does ISU suppose to give a list of clinical site to contact too see they will accept me there or i choose my own site? Again thank you so much for your informations, i really appreciate them.
  15. @Kgeiger1, I am interested to get into the program next august. I was wondering if you can give me a little advise about those challenge test, since im planning to take them starting this december. Do you think i could use my PN review books to prepare for them. What are their level of difficulty? also for the clinical is stated that we have to look for a preceptor 6 months prior the nursing program start , and some ppl find it realy difficult to even find the list of facilitites they provide to agree and get clinical, What was experience like , anything you could tell me or advise will be appreciate... I really want to get into this program next year.

Hi Ladyinscrubs, i am really interested to get into this program next august 2012. As i noticed you are in the program, if dont mind i would to ask you a couple of questions. I am planning on taking the challenge test beginning this december but im not sure if i should get the college network study guide or i can just review from the LPN books i have for the designated tests and chapters i am going to have the test? Also what level of difficulty those tests are? And I am a little confuse about the tuition since college network told me and im in florida , im not sure how much the tuition will be? Since you are in the program what type of advise would suggest to have, how determined you need to be and dedication, basically what is the content and how is the program itself? maybe some of your experience would really help me in my decision. Anything you would think and advise will greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance!!!:)
