  1. Health Care Reform of 2010 and CRNAs

I actually like that someone is finally doing SOMETHING to reform healthcare. Right or wrong, I think everyone can agree that our system is broken. Baby steps to getting it back on track is the key to this new reform law. Check out this link, http://...
  2. Winter 2011 GN positions/interviews in Houston, TX

I just had a interview at MD Anderson last week :) I'm just waiting to here back from them to see if they chose me for their internship program. I also got a call from Memorial Hermann out of the blue yesterday and today I got a email with my appoint...
  3. You Can't Be a Nurse Without Love

xtxrn - you make a excellent point. Like I previously said, love has many forms, which I think we agree on. I'm sorry if my previous post implied that I view love as one dimensional. We all see love differently and express it differently. Some share ...
  4. You Can't Be a Nurse Without Love

Gosh, so many points of view on nursing and love! I’ve always looked at love as a verb, an action word, b/c to me love is something that is is shown or demonstrated. We might not all love our patients like Mully does.. but I am glad there are nurse...
  5. You Can't Be a Nurse Without Love

Wow Mully! I really enjoyed this story and it made me happy to read something so insightful. I LOVE this story :) Love takes many forms :)

  7. Interview at MD Anderson. Im so nervous!

I'm sorry for all the spelling and grammatical errors! I wrote this really quickly and I'm headed out the door, but I really could use some advice!
  8. Extremely scared of taking the NCLEX

You have to know your core content first before you can even begin to know how to prioritize! I did the Hurst Review and it really helped me understand the core content, which then helped me chose those, "who do you assess first" questions. As for de...
  9. First ER day

Congrats on loving your job and getting your first IV start! The ER will teach you so many skills. Best of luck!
  10. NCBSN questions are HARD

The course is self paced. You are given all the content at once and can review the subjects you want. So if you're fast you could possibly finish in 2 weeks, but I would say pace yourself. :) Good luck on the NCLEX!
  11. Nursing makes me nuts!!!!

I totally agree with you ksc0723. The application process is so crazy! When I was applying to BSN programs, every school required something totally different! I wish they would make it more uniform, especially in BSN programs. A good structured progr...
  12. Interview/Resume Review service

Like JWalk85 stated, you wouldn't want to charge too much to new grads since most of us are unemployed. If I lived in your neighborhood, I would be willing to pay $40 for an in depth resume and interview critique. Just my 2 cents :)
  13. Confused about GN programs

Thanks for the great advice! You've been so nice and helpful! I started calling around today, and your right most hospitals told me to start looking online for the internship applications opening in september and october. One recruiter told me that i...
  14. Confused about GN programs

Thanks for the quick reply! Well since I don't graduate in august, I wouldn't be able to start right now. Congrats on getting hired! but I graduate at a weird time. Some people were telling me that most GN positions aren't available when we graduate ...
