Yep. All my engineer friends aren't harping the same tunes that unemployed nurses are.

Any area that will actually hire you. The nursing field is way too saturated to pick and choose.

What's really scary is explaining the 1-2 year gaps in employment from the time you graduate nursing school.

You are barking up the wrong tree. If you want to do something different, become an art instructor or something.

Lack of jobs. There's absolutely NO such thing as a nursing shortage. Oh yeah- it's corrupt too.

If I could do it all over again I would have gone for pharmacy in a heartbeat. It'd be a mistake to leave it.

I know plenty of people that regretted going into nursing.

I am 100% with the OP. Thanks for being honest. I realize you'll catch a lot of slack from those nurses in denial, but someone has to spread the truth and pre-nursing prospects should be kissing your feet for it!

Decline. BSN grads are even having a terrible time finding jobs. Do your research and follow your heart..not what society or everyone else is telling you. Good Luck
