After graduating from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing, Kuwait University. I served as a staff nurse in both the Armed Forces Hospital, (the Ministry of Defence) and Al- Adan Hospital, (Ministry of Health). I also served as a nursing officer in Al-Ahmadi Hospital, (Kuwait Oil Company).
I completed my PhD in Nursing in 2002 at University of Wales Swansea, United Kingdomand. I'm teaching now at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (formerly known as the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing).
I was the president of Kuwait Nursing Association from 2006 to 2008.
Most recently I was appointed the Chairman of Health Information Administration Department, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Kuwait University.
