In some states (PA is one) you must be a certified school nurse.

Admissions Nurse
I work in a facility that has one. Her hours are 12-8:30 M-F. Somehow she convinced administration she should only do two admissions a shift - after that the charge nurse has to do them. It is a great position to have but causes a lot of animosity where I work
-
Absolutely ridiculous... You can keep your 4 hours
Yep!!! Get called "off" for a 12 hour shift. But you only get four hours at a time. You have to call in at 10 to see if you need to go in at 11 and if you don't you need to call in at 2 to see if you need to go in for the last four.

Who has had surgery on their bunion? How long were you off work?
I have not but my mother has (she is a nurse too). Her first one she was off 12 weeks and the second was 16 weeks. Mind you she had bunions the size of a small sedan. She second one involved breaking bones and such. She had no light duty because they only offer it if it is a workers comp claim I really hope yours is a shorter recovery time, like I said these were the biggest bunions ever, hopefully you didn't wait as long as she did. Good luck!

3-11 shift
At my facility 3-11 gets crushed. We get all the admissions, have two med passes, no unit secretary, less staff, etc. We are lucky to be out by midnight. First shift leaves by 3:05 or they moan and complain.
