If you search RN jobs in Vegas all you see over and over are phrases like "no new grad program available" and "no new grads" and "1 yr or more experience required". I don't know how new grads get hired here in Vegas.

I never did the coloring books. Before class began I watched youtube videos to learn organ system basics. type in: cardiopulmonary system, respiratory system, lymphatic system, gastrointestinal system...etc. pay attention to the pathways, processes...

Vegas is the same way, masses of new nurses spilling out into a dead economy. I would search "RN new grad" at indeed.com or similar site but don't put in a specific city...I did this and it seems TX and midwest cities have new grad hiring.

I know some hospitals in the past had "adopt a student" programs when they would pay for school in exchange for a 2 yr contract but in this economy I don't think these programs exist anymore.

Wow excellent advice...I plan on getting vango notes for fundamentals and listening each day at work before I start my program in fall.
