Can we register for our classes online at my CCC yet or does it block you from doing it? Seems like we will be doing lecture 2 times a week for two hours ( that doesn't seem that bad) and 1 six hour day of lab at the hospital. Also for the people who have gotten accepted, will you be going to school in the morning or evening. I'm just trying to figure out if these classes are going to get filled up quickly. I'm so excited! I've already started looking for a stethoscope : )
  5. If you live far from Daley I wonder how they decided on the location for each applicant? I definitely live on the northside and got accepted to Truman's program. I'm glad I don't have to travel far.

    Truman Nursing Application Extension

I found out at around 4:45. I took all of the pre and coreq's except for microbiology and received A's in all of them. Now it's time for even more hard work. I'm sure everyone will find out today as well. Goodluck to everyone still waiting!

    Truman Nursing Application Extension

All I am saying is that someone who has gotten the minimum grades in all of the pre-reqs and co-reqs ( that would be getting B's in Bio and Chem and C's in everything else = 65 points) would have a better chance of getting in than someone who has gotten straight A's in the pre-reqs ( 52 points). I think the person with straight A's would be better for the program academically. I applied two classes short of all of the possible classes I could have applied with ( I am currently taking Bio 227 and plan to take Micro this summer) and have recieved A's in all of my classes and I am still not sure that I will get accepted. I guess it all will depend on how they rank applicants now. Good luck to everyone applying! Also do they plan on contacting the applicants about the fact that they are extending the date of when the letters will be sent out?

Why are people saying that taking Micro and Anatomy is a waste? If you get into the program you are going to have to take them anyway. At least they are already out of the way. That is most likely the case for all the nursing programs. I also think it is more fair to accept applicants using their pre-req grades. It is not fair for someone to get into the program before someone else simply because they have taken more classes. This will ensure that only people with straight A's will get in. As far as sending acceptance e-mails on May 2nd, that is ridiculous, Truman needs to get it together.
  11. I attended the information session at Truman yesterday and they made it seem like the program is soooo hard and that you will basically have no life and can not even have a job the second year of the program. I have a very flexible salon job that allows me to study alot at work. That is how I made it through all of these science classes. I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that has finished the program that can give me some info about the curriculum.
