Our exams are taken from a test bank from ONE book, and those test bank questions are all nclex style. The weird thing is... after my 76 grade I decided to try group study and thats when i felt super good about the exam. Only to get a 60 .. but im n...
I am working on my focused assessment for a pt I have tomorrow morning. I need to have 3 body systems picked out to focus on. HX: Asymptomatic bradycardia (which is what she came in for), diastolic HF, HTN, SSS, Asthma. So far right now I have 2 out ...

I dont understand why people would want to pay that absurd amount for a nursing degree when ccri only costs around 9-10,000 in all. And IMHO MA schools are so useless, my sister went to lincoln tech for her MA and paid 13,000 and the cap off is like ...

Hi! I was in your position last year, I had just got accepted into Flanagan Day starting January 2011, I was super nervous! I will try to answer some of the questions you have. 1. How close to January would the orientation be? I got my official acce...
I am doing a worksheet before my IV administration lab tomorrow. There is one question I don't understand. "State 7 mechanical factors affecting gravity flow rate". I have looked through multiple books and indexes but can't find where this would be ...

It does suck but it's just something you have to do, you should be able to do it in 3 semesters, I did all my pre reqs in 3 semesters starting in Fall 2009 with anatomy, Spring 2010 physiology, Summer session II in 2010 with micro, and in October 201...
Ohhh alright, for some reason it was just completely throwing me off. So for example... different tubing with different calibrations, size of the needle, type of solution. Thank you!!!
Well I see how it is 6gtt/min. Use the 25mL/h. 25mL/60 min x 15gtt/mL = 6.25 = round to 6 gtt/min but I don't see how you can get mL/h... they didn't give you an amount of time.. they just said continuously. But you need the mL/h to get the gtt/min, ...

Do you know if they were re-taking them? Like if someone got a C in anatomy they have to retake it to get a B for the program, but since they got a C they are still allowed to do physiology because the pre req for phys. was fulfilled.
mgalano replied to StrawberryVanilla's topic in Rhode Island
As far as I know you cannot take them together. It needs to be fair for everyone so I don't think they would allow this. I had to take micro over the summer, If you take it first session you have time to apply in the August app period. I took it sec...

Yea, I'm going into Nursing II. They just emailed us the syllabus yesterday so we have 3 weeks to prep. Apparently this is going to be the hardest semester, thats what people say. So I am going to try to use these last few weeks to get ahead already ...

I hadn't heard that they were switching to a new point system, it seems like they just switched to their current system. It will be more clear cut as to who should get in first and such. I don't think I like that micro isn't counted anymore, do you k...

kellbell- The first semester they base your clinical location on where you live (they try to) all other semester are at different hospitals. You don't go to one hospital more than once. Me and my husband own a house in Woonsocket and I go to the Lin...

I'm with frogs. The newest pass rates aren't published yet, but our school has recieved them stating ccri is leading. Not that it even matters I was just saying that if you don't have a way to choose a program then go by the pass rates.

That website is not up to date. I agree that something is up with the way they accept people into CCRI, I guess I was just lucky and got accepted in on my first try. I don't work for caremark or anything.
mgalano replied to Braga92's topic in Rhode Island
What most of the people I know do is take all the classes that they can at CCRI to save money and then transfer those credits to like RIC or URI and start their nursing program. I went with CCRI because it is overall cheaper, has better NCLEX pass ra...

Hi, I am at the end of my first semester in the nursing program at CCRI. They no longer do the "wait list". If you don't get in when you apply during that semester you must apply again during the next application period. It isn't necassarily the best...

emabox- im in nursing 1010 now and my clinical times were as follows: the first 3 weeks you are in the nursing lab to learn all of your basic skills. The time is either 8-12 or 12-4, they pick what group you will be in. Then after that you are in the...

Norquist is the Head of Nursing 1010, you don't actually have her as a prof. You don't have one prof, you have a few. They team teach so you can have 2 different prof in one day. The only person that stays consistent is your clinical teacher.
