academically, their programs are really good. the students come out knowing their stuff. the one in savannah does interviews to get in and continues those while you are in program. true, it is crazy expensive. i have a very good friend going through the pa program there and have had to take out private loans as well. but she said the education and intimate atmosphere she gets there is worth it for her.

Ahhh, good deal. Well, I live in Savannah, GA for 11 years and know from experience that So. Uni is very good. Challenging, but their programs are excellent.

New Grad Moving to Great Falls

Benefis is a amazing place to work. I'm not a nurse but a Phleb. in the lab so I go to all the diffrent departments and know most of the regular employees there pretty well. I love it and have no intentions as of yet to work any where else, even when I get my RN. Great Falls is a wonderful place to live and a great place to raise a family. :) However, I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but it is very hard to get into the L&D unit. They have a very low turn over rate (my sister is an OB RN there) and they tend to heir in-house before bringing someone new in. Get into the hospital, spend some time there and keep an eye peeled for an opening on L & D is the best advice I can give you. Good luck!

    Discouraged....

I don't want to sound like I'm whining and not doing my part to ensure sucess, but I am very scared/nervous about my chances of getting into a RN program. I'm a new mom (just had my first in May) and am taking Micro and A & P I this semester. Micro I've got a handle on, but am just choking in A & P. I study, close to 5 hours a day, when I can get it in between caring for and spending time with my son. I'm so scared I'm going to miss milestones with him and don't want to look back and regret missing his first year because I was too busy studying.... However I'm desperate to finish pre reqs and get into a program. I'm also so scatter brained when I'm studying, especially for lab. We are learning the body regionaly and I have trouble prioritizing what to learn, when to move on. Its a mess. I've never had this kind of trouble in school. Never in my life. I'm frusterated with myself because up untill now everything has come so easy to me. Now I'm struggling and I don't quite know how to fix it. Anyother new moms out there? Do you have advice? I'm open to any and all suggestions.
