  1. I have been thinking about travel nursing in Northern California. I have seen job postings that said 2500 a week plus free company provided housing. Will I actually be taking home 2500 a week or are they adding the free housing into that quote as part of some blended rate? Im talking about taking the company provided housing and not the housing stipend because I wont have a tax home.

    ITT Tech?

whosurdaddy is not attacking people. Did you read his other threads....No im not affiliated with the school in any way what so ever, but I do not like haters and I will break every one of you down. I told you guys before some of these people are trying to do something with their lives and for some of them it is their last hope and dream. Please dont discourage them. What do you want them to do quit and go on welfare.

ITT TECH RN Program Portland-Accepted Student Info!

Ha ha ha!!! SummitAP you are too easy!! First off let me break you down slowly. Yes you are right if you are good you can get your prerequisites done in 1 and 1/2 years. But most people it take about 2-3 yrs. People who are working full time might take longer. But if you read the whole thing you would see where I stated that you will be competing with about 300 hundred or more applicants with about only 23-30 seats. It might take you years or you might never get in. I have seen people on this forums who have been trying for over 3 years with a gpa over 3.5 and high test results and still have not been accepted. Oh and where do you get your figures on how long or average it takes for certain nurses to find a job. Everybody's work ethic at finding jobs are different. Some people try harder and look longer than others. Some fill out more apps or look further. Some people go out only once a month. So you cant really get an accurate number on those figures. Please I have seen hospitals overtaken with foreign nurses who can barely speak english and got their education at a nursing school in the phillipines which I know dont have nlnac accreditation. And you are worried about Itt tech!!!!! I think you are bored and looking for people to attack so you can make yourself feel better. P.S. I didn't know ADD was also a reading problem!!!! Next time read the whole reply. Never claimed to be a math wizard I just have common sense!!!!!! I dont like haters and I will break every one of you down......No Im not part of the school nor am I affiliated. I just dont like when people come on here and try to put people down who are trying to do something. Some of those people dont have any other choice. You might be jabbing away at their last hope and dream. What do you want them to do. Stop going after their dreams and go on welfare. Its people like you that got me worried for the future of this country......Thank god canada is not that far away........

ITT TECH RN Program Portland-Accepted Student Info!

anon695 you seem like a math wizard!! Here is one problem for you to figure out. 3 to 5 years to even get into a nursing program or if you ever do. Then 4 years to graduate. So in those 9 miserable years you are still working for $8 an hour or you are broke as hell living at your parents house these graduates will be long making well over 60,000 a year. They will have their RN license and will be nurses and you will still be hoping that your 3.8 gpa will get you into a program along with the other 300 students with the same gpa or higher applying for 23 seats at your community college. OOOOOpssss did i do that!!!!! ha ha ha lmao!!!

    ITT Tech?

Whos ur daddy. Your losing the battle man. Look how many people love the program.Im only hearing good things about the program. Oh yeah to answer your question before smart guy, if the program was not legit why does all the state boards of nursing approve them. Including the one in your state. Yeah they pay more. But they have less stress getting into a program and do not have to wait 5 years to get into one and then 4 years to graduate. They will already be making money for years ahead of you. Also about the nlnac will be accrediting the itt tech nursing program at the indiana campus this year and the rest of them will soon follow. Go itt tech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ITT Tech?

whosyourdaddy seems a little upset!!!! First of all Itt tech nursing program is not the same program you were in. So you cant possible comment on something you dont have information on or know nothing about. To answer your question yes they have clinicals in hospitals and they are all approved by state boards that they are in. They also can sit for the NCLEX after finishing school and be Registered Nurses after passing. And to also answer your question about transferring credits. They might not be able to transfer credits to most schools but most online ADN to RN bridge programs will let you take their classes as long as you are a licensed Registered Nurse already. And alot of those schools are nationally accredited. Look them up. And if you dont know how, I will gladly tell you how or which schools. So sorry if you were not satisfied with the program you were in. But like I said different program, different directors, different teachers, different results. Itt tech actually spent millions of dollars on each of their nursing programs on brand new state of the art equipment, labs and books. They also get alot of hands on teaching before they even step into their clinicals at a hospital. Which community colleges dont. Most community college nursing students have never even placed catheters before they start their clinicals. At itt tech they start in school, in their own brand new state of the art labs. Go see for your self. Nexxxxxxt!!!!!!

    ITT Tech?

seems like iluvpatho is a little upset too!!! actually i have heard alot of good things about the program and how they prepare their nursing students. The bad stuff you here is about some of their other programs. And it is not even all the programs or all the campuses. That fact the matter is they have new state of the art nursing labs and equipment, probably better than most community colleges. The nurses will have more hands on experience before they even step into a hospital. And that is not even including the clinicals that they do while they are in school. The nursing directors are Doctors and the nursing teachers are either nurse practitioners or RN who have been doing this for a while. Go check out one of nursing labs and the program for yourself before you start talking about a program. Thats your problem you only repeat what someone has says. Will there is alot of people on here that say the program is great. So does that mean it is? Another fact is in the next twenty years when all the baby boomers retire there will be about a 300,000 shortage in the US. Look up in the labor statistics. The only reason there is not one now because the hospitals are hiring alot of nurses from other countries. Go look in your local hospital and see how many philipino nurses there are. And they went to nursing school overseas. So how do you know there school prepared them properly. So if you are reporting all the bad stuff, report the good stuff too!!!! Should I believe all the bad stuff they say about you iluvpatho!!!!! So if you want to give good advise atleast give a good one.

    ITT Tech?

Well said web girl. Good luck in the nursing class. And let us know in the future how it is going.
  10. mikvegas123

    ITT Tech's New Program???

I congratulate both of you for getting in and good luck in the future. Make sure you guys post here and let us know how you did or are doing for current students and future students who may want to have itt tech as an option.

    I go to ITT-Tech...

They might charge alot of money, but you always have to pay for convenience in this country that is how it works. Less time in school and schedules that let you keep your job and raise a family at the same time. Why not. For some people this is the only way. Please you may have your own opinion but remember there are students on here that are attending that school. So show some respect. Go on some other website and slander those who are not trying to get anywhere. Go on to your states welfare website and slander those people on there. I thought this was a website for nurses trying to help other nurses or people trying to be a nurse. From what I see there are alot of people on here offering their criticism but no real advice. I will lead by example and hopefully every other person will continue to treat others with respect. Here we go.....There are people on here that went to a traditional college. Im proud of you. Then there are people on here that went to private colleges. Im proud of you. One paid less than the other. We all get that already....The traditional ones allow for credits to transfer..and some of them dont even take transfers from other traditional shools.. And the private ones cant transfer any credits....We all get that and know that.....But in the end all the students can take the nclex and become nurses some faster than others!!!!!Your state boards says so. And nobody can stop them.
  12. mikvegas123

    I go to ITT-Tech...

TO the itt tech students and grads....Dont listen to the critics...I just want to say im proud of you guys for following your dreams..I've have called a couple of schools who will take your degree from the itt tech nursing program. All you have to do is have graduated from nursing program or have your current RN license. These schools are also acreddited. One is jacksonville school of nursing. They are accredited through the ccne and University of Texas Arlington RN TO BSN also accredited. These are bridge programs. If you graduated from a adn program they will accept you. Or either have a current rn license which you will have if you pass your nclex...and i believe the university of phoenix rn to bsn bridge does too.. There is alot of these schools all you have to do is call and ask...These critics are either upset that they had to go to school for 8 years to become an rn, getting pre reqs done, going through 3 or 4 waiting lists.. and so on...They are upset they did not have this opportunity back then. If Itt tech was not legit they would not be accepted by the state boards of all these states that have the program. They are in application status from the nlnac and from what I hear there have been hardly any programs rejected.

    ITT Tech's New Program???

DIdn't you guys read the other posts? AN itt tech graduate has a job at legacy in the portland area. I guess she is 8 years ahead of you!!! Dont mean to be sarcastic, but come on really???? You might think your helping people out, but your not. I said it before. Some people have their reason like family for instance why they cant attend traditional colleges. Give them a break and let them have their dreams. Some people cant wait 8 years.. I have personally called some colleges that will take itt tech into their Adn to Rn programs. All you have to do is call a few of them. I will list them here in the future. And those schools where nlnac acreddited. Plus Itt tech is in application status for the nlnac in indiana. And from what I hear there are not many schools that have ever been denied. And also if the school was not legit than why are they acreddited by so many state boards and the students are able to sit for the exam? Like I said I have met some horrible nurses that went to traditional colleges. Maybe you are the ones on here making a big fuss because you had to go to school for eight years and now there is a chance to for people to further their careers faster. You must be mad at those thousands of foreign nurses coming over to the united states and getting jobs easily. They are not nlnac acreddited. So lets all get along!!!!!
  14. mikvegas123

Anyone heard of ITT Tech Nursing program

Even people with gpa's of 3.8 are on waiting lists. Then once you finally get in another 2 to 4 years to finish the program. Not including the the 1 to 2 years of pre reqs. That is between 5 to 10 years of school not making money
  15. mikvegas123

    ITT Tech's New Program???

Stop hating on itt tech. Four year universities nursing programs say the same thing about community college nurses. Its not the school that makes a great nurse. 3.8 gpa students are on waiting lists for 3 years and then 4 years to finish the program. thats 7 years before you make money. do the math smart people. lol...
