   I guess they can't pull people from the wait list until at least after October 1st, the deadline to accept the offer. I guess even then some people will be waiting to hear from other institutions....

   I have a friend who started the UNC absn program this January and she only found out about her financial aid package in December, so September 24th doesn't seem that bad! Granted, there is less money...

   Elmo - well, I would say no not really. You will need a car. Duke is a great campus and there are some really nice apartments just on the edge of campus, but a lot of the neighborhoods around there...
