    Yeah, I'd check with your State Board of Nursing. Here, LPNs cannot do initial assessments, among a multitude of other things and each patient has to be assigned to an RN at least one shift every 24...

    That is really a shame! I don't know about other states, but here our hospitals can fire you without notice or reason at any given time. You have to sign a paper agreeing to that when you are hired....
