  1. What was your LPN starting salary????

I make $24/hour in Ontario working in LTC. I got hired 2 weeks after graduating. I don't really like the job, but it's paying the bills until I find one I really enjoy.
  2. Horror stories about RPN program...Yikes!!!

I just graduated from an RPN program, and it really does take a lot of time management to get through it. Do your reading in advance, study a bit each day instead of cramming, and don't be afraid to ask questions during classes. I worked every weeke...
  3. Exposure to Medications

  8. Schools over - stuck with 18 books

I am keeping my pharm books, my med/surg books....
  9. Calling briefs "diapers"....*vent*

I agree with you, but the only thing I would have to add is that often, when I tell a resident that I need to change their brief they say "What?" I'll repeat "Your brief!", and this goes on until I say "Your diaper". Then they understand. I hate havi...
  10. I'm a new grad and need advice! I was offered jobs with the 2 places I did my pre-grad placements with, and I accepted, as they are both part-time, and I need money pretty badly. Plus, I really liked both places. The problem is, neither one of my b...
