We use eSchool. I agree that it's nice to have all the class information in one place with my documentation. But, I don't think it's an efficient or easy to use

I had a teacher tell me that a kid looks like he needs to go home. No, a kid only needs to go home if their throwing up, have a fever, or having diarrhea. None of which you say in that classroom....
This thread just reinforces that I'm trying to do the right thing with my 2 year old. She'll often demand "pouch" or "book" or "cheese stick," and my husband and I are pretty good about responding...
I plan to rearrange next year. I would do it this year, but quite frankly, all of my furniture is heavy and awkward. Plus, with 4 cots in a tiny room, there's really no good set up. (I'm getting...
I have absolutely the same worries that you do. I'm still looking for that compromise. I still do my assessment but I always feel like I'm having the wool pulled over my eyes by the little buggers....
So, I feel like this is a straightforward question, but I just want to make sure. An administrator should not be sharing a medical condition that a student has with the whole school staff, correct? I...
You are absolutely correct and I need to keep reminding myself that too. We're going through some transitions, and not everyone is aware of the requirements so I want to provide some much needed...

I've been a nurse for 5 years. First year as a school nurse. Previously worked public health and med/surg. I have my BSN and am currently in school for my MSN in Informatics. I think if I could do...
The teachers and guidance counselor sends out missed day letters when there's a risk of non-credit status. They don't recommend sending the students to school sick (I agree with the liability issues...
Probably! I'm actually pretty sure I just have an end of the year report that I know about. My mentor hasn't mentioned any other reports that are due in our meetings (and we have had more than a...
I report to the principal for administrative stuff, and have a nurse mentor (who I go to for most things), and a lead nurse (that doesn't really do anything). I technically have requirements for...
