  1. Yep, that is a manager task right there. Especially as she is a newbie to the group and messing up the group dynamic with her dismissiveness. She may not be a good fit.
  2. Do you still have your med-surg and cardiac (or complex care) text books? Perhaps review those topics you mentioned and start from there. When you get to the unit, you will other topics/tasks you may want to review on in a text, article, video, or whatever and just always remember - you never stop learning ? Good luck!
  3. When I worked nights, it was 7p Friday night through 7a Monday morning.
  4. I don't think this response was necessary, either [fellow nursing student].
  5. I know this is late, but perhaps this can help anyone. For a time, I worked in NE Ohio close to the Pennsylvania border and PA nurses came across to border due to OH paying better (this was six years ago so maybe times have changed).
  6. LOL I know it is has been years, but welcome to Ohio (I am a native ??). For every bad apple, you will find two good ones, so that helps.
  7. Happy New Year! Wow, can you expand on the remote triage role to us here? Sounds intriguing ? Side note for your interview - you can explain the services you worked in while in the OR (such as general, thoracic, ENT, etc). Also explain why you want to leave the OR and have direct care (unit nursing) experience. Good luck!
  8. I have been in research for almost 5 years and most research nurses that I know do not have a MSN (only a BSN and decent clinical experience that you already have). I do know that the Ohio State Univ (main campus) has a Master of Clinical Research (not a MSN but a general Master program that is completely online).
  9. You should try posting this in the Ohio Nursing thread: allnurses.com/ohio-nursing/ Good luck!
  10. I would contact the NEALP administrator...go to https://www.ohiohighered.org/nealp and there should be a link to that person so you can go forward with that. Good luck!
  11. Great advice from everyone! Congrats to OP
  12. I sat for boards approximately 8 weeks post graduation.
  13. @fingerscrossed9 - that is the "good pop up" :) @blynn9173 - congrats! I remember your concern regarding the NCLEX :)
  14. Congrats! Catch up on that sleep girl! Let your mind relax and actually frolic in a field (heck yeah I skipped after graduating). Then...it's time for the NCLEX- fun times ahead lol. But seriously, it is not that horrific. Good luck! :)
  15. @Anne36 - keep the faith! I hope you are able to find out your results per Quick Results soon. Good luck :)
