  1. I would say that definitely sign up for the test: some days and locations are filled really fast. As long as I remember, I too received not one but a couple of similar e-mails from nursing dept., go figure. I wouldn't wait to take the test also for t...
  2. ahhhh more confused: wait, wait are we talking about BCI or the CPR results? Two different things, you know.
  3. Where does it say so? Just checked the general background check requirements on nursing web page and the only thing I see is that it should be done no sooner than 6 mns prior to start date and instructions on how to complete it.
  4. Urgh... that is makes me upset. Nursing dept. says one thing, e-mails another, and posts absolutely something different...
  5. Are there anyone going to Westshore?
  6. What do you mean by saying that deadline to have cpr is by September 17? Is it a school requirement?

  13. As for me I realized I was overstressed about it. I would say take a good night sleep, don't stay up late studying. I found that the most they tested were my patience and concentration for a long period of time. It wasn't difficult at all it was just...
  14. August 2013 Caption Contest: Win $100!

You know John, after a few years in nursing, you won't need that much coffee at all. It will gradually replace all the body fluids in your system. Just take a quick whiff of a coffee bean in the morning and you're good for the day!
  15. How Not to Get Taken Advantage Of

It has nothing to do with being a better person or paying it forward. It's a phenomenon of a group psychology called social loafing. Always was and will be, unfortunately. Your position of not wanting to share your work with the "free riders" is abso...
  16. Soft spoken nurses

I would suggest the dr that she try to adjust the volume of her hearing aid. If she replies she doesn't have one, I would artistically raise my eyebrows like I'm in utter disbelief, and say no kidding?! bahahaha...

  19. ScottE, Did you find the program to be of high quality?
  20. larma, I am sorry if I sound too harsh but you need to get your facts straight. It is simply not true that there are no 4-year colleges in the area that won't accept present and future (if tri-c loses NLN accreditation) tri-c graduates for their RN-...
  21. Yes, I know. We have been discussing it over the past day. There is a lot of uncertainty. I just don't know what to do, or what to think.
  22. Hi all, starting spring 2014 as well at Westshore, super excited! Congrats to all who made it into the program. By the way, does anyone know if we have to run the background check again for those of us who have done it already? They require it now to...
  23. From Business Degree to BSN

Don't feel too old for a change. I was in the same position when I graduated with my BBA and started working. It just didn't feel right. I enjoyed working with people but wanted it in some different capacity. Then I just had this thought: well, I am ...
