Hi there! I really want to get into nursing and I think that getting my CNA would be a great stepping stone into the industry. My problem is that I don't really have the money to take the classes in my area. I've searched for free ones and the only thing I can find is a class that offers financial assistance if applicable. Well, it turns out I don't qualify because I'm not a poverty level and I didn't lose my previous job. I've thought about calling nursing homes up and asking if they will pay for me classes, or help me get through, but I don't know how to word myself. There's a nursing home not too far from where I lived who posted a thing on Career Builder but it has this "Must be certified & in good standing on the State Nurse Aide Registry" . . . and that pretty much has me discouraged. This is something I really want to do, but I can't seem to do it. I don't want to end up with another job I can't stand. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
