Still haven't heard anything. Officially freaking out! "If you want something bad enough, the universe conspires with you to get it." - Unknown

Vanderbilt BSN - NP Program Applicants Fall 2010

Sounds crazy, but I'm afraid of jinxing myself if I call the VUSN admissions office. It's killing me not to know my status, but I'd hate to call and hear that I wasn't admitted this time around. I honestly don't know what my reaction would be! So I guess I'll keep stalking the mailbox until I get something in the mail...

Update: it's May 28, and I still haven't heard anything. Is this good? Bad? I have no idea what to think at this point. Patience, patience...

Vanderbilt BSN - NP Program Applicants Fall 2010

Haven't heard anything yet, and it's been over a month! Maybe they're pooling all the late applicants together to decide who gets in, who gets wait listed, and who gets rejected. I called the admissions office the other day, and the secretary there confirmed that my application was reviewed on April 19th. Is it possible that I haven't received a rejection letter yet, and it's been a month since they reviewed my application? I don't know what to think anymore. I'm still hoping against hope that I get in though!

Thanks for the info, wbrn. It's much appreciated. I know that I meet (if not exceed) the minimum requirements for admission, but I'm afraid that all spots will have been filled. I also know that there is only a 10% chance of getting in once you're on the wait list. I'm trying to remain optimistic though. It's crazy but I can really see myself doing that program! I've been to Nashville twice, and I really liked what I saw each time. Still keeping my fingers crossed here...

    Financial Aid Letter - Vanderbilt

I applied earlier this month (April) to the direct entry FNP program. Still waiting to hear something. I received the financial aid packet, and have since applied for it and for the scholarships through Vanderbilt. As I stated in another post on another thread, it seems crazy that Vanderbilt would waste $1.32 in stamps to send out financial aid information to applicants they have no intention of accepting or wait-listing. After reading up on the program, and on the university itself, I really hope I'm accepted to the FNP program this year. If not, I'll definitely be asking them why, and reapplying in December. The waiting feels like forever!

Vanderbilt BSN - NP Program Applicants Fall 2010

Yes, I'm already an RN. I applied to the direct entry FNP program. It's funny but when I applied initially, I wasn't really sure if I could afford grad school at Vandy, but now that I've received the financial aid information, I'm more hyped up than ever about the prospect of going there. Any idea on how many slots they have for incoming students?

Vanderbilt BSN - NP Program Applicants Fall 2010

Hey everyone, I submitted my application earlier this month (April 2010). Is the wait list my only hope of getting in at this point? I know that Vandy says they send Financial Aid info to all applicants, but I wonder why they would waste 3 44-cent stamps to send info to applicants who won't be accepted. Seems like a huge waste of money, especially in these times... Anyway, I hope and pray that I'm accepted, but I have a realistic feeling I won't be at this late date. I submitted my FAFSA application and the Vanderbilt School of Nursing Scholarship application, so maybe they'll see that and know that I am serious about attending there if I'm accepted. Fingers crossed...
