  1. Hello! Back in May, you replied to me thread about being "unhappy" and suggested becoming a CPC. I have tired to look for these jobs to no avail. Would you have some company names to get me started? I am an LPN and have almost 4 years experience. Thanks!

You're awesome, thank you very much. Is any coding experience necessary?

Some want it while others dont (The requirements will be listed) Since you are already in healthcare you can ask your employer about their billing/coding department and look into doing an internship before or after your shift starts...This will count as time (experience) As a matter of fact, some places have paid internships..

Also once you pass your CPC..you will have an A behind your credential

(CPC-A), meaning apprentice. This A can be removed if you present AAPC with 2 letter on company letter head, basically stating thatvyou are familiar with  codes etc..The internship can count towards that or as long as youbhave 2 letters on company letterhead it will be removed, to only show CPC, after your name.

I was already working with UHC and just transferred into a role that required a coding certification or nursing license.
