  1. burn patients

You did the right thing. I work on a burn unit, and thank God for you. You never put ice on burns! Thats so frustrating how unfairly you were treated. :angryfire I hope you have been paid an apology by now, and all your workers realize you did th...
  2. AIDS Question

Thank you all for your posts! As a student I'm still sorting through a lot of information, and I appreciate all the expirienced answers you've all given me.:) :)
  3. AIDS Question

It would serve the people who do not know they have the disease by abstaining from behaviors to pass on the disease. Yes universal precautions on every patient regardless! My point is not tring to say routine tests should be done to protect nurses,...
  4. AIDS Question

I am aware of the high high cost, which many many years down the road may have been worth the cost versus what the cost could become when we do finally have to do more. I understand all your points, and they are very reasonable. On the other hand i...

  8. How bad is the isolation problem where you work?

I'm a student that has been tring to understand more about MERSA. Two residents in the home I work in have MERSA in their urine, but are brought out of their rooms for the day. Is this not suppose to be or is it because the MERSA is in their urine?...
  9. AIDS Question

Just curious of those nurses out there that think everyone coming into the hospitals should be AIDS tested? Why isn't it just done like other blood test so people can be informed and decrease the spread of HIV. I'm not saying people wouldn't still ha...
  10. Abusive Cna!

While going to nursing school I work weekends in a nursing home. There are only two aides on 3rd shift and we each have our own hall. I needed assistance with a resident so I walk down the other hall to find the other night aide. What I saw distur...
