I have been an RN for over forty years. I retired from the USCG Academy (as a civilian) about four years ago. I was the head nurse in the outpatient department for about 15 years. I now have 4-5 per deim positions that I thoroughly enjoy. I believe you are never to old to learn, in fact, your patient's life may depend upon it! I have wanted to go back for my BSN for most of the forty years I have been an RN. I have taken four online courses at American Sentinel Univ. I have never regretted becoming a nurse. If anything, over the years I have considered it a privilege. I have been married for forty years, and have two grown children, three grandchildren, two dogs and two cats.
