as a fellow night nurse i agree. we do those kinds of audits because we are told we HAVE to. not because we have nothing else to do, or are just mean and spiteful...i hate it when the management makes nurses police other nurses.....

i also have done mostly nights for years. i do not flip my days night over when i am off, even if its for a week. i also get enough sleep. everybody knows if they wake me up early something better be on fire. make sure you get uninterrupted sleep! us...

i had job with 26 mr/dd kids adults, stable, 24 of which had gtubes, one had a trach. had 3 cnas on at night with me. i had downtime at night, even with meds at at the same times as you mentioned. i liked that job. are you a new nurse?

LTC pts are there till they die. it is their HOME. they have the RIGHT, with md approval, to have a few beers or glass of wine. QUALITY OF LIFE.

just explain that the pt has stated these are moles. everybody makes mistakes. so what if he gets mad?

a nice letter to the editor of the local paper and the hospital ceo would be nice too. and staff always likes food stuff. or a few bottles of nice hand lotion for the staff lounge is good too. my hands get sooooo dried out ..
