Travel Nursing
I am considering travel nursing. I have checked out some travel nurse websites and they seem to all "promise the world". I wanted to get some feedback on those who have done or do travel nursing and what travel companies you would recommend.

Don't be afraid of the NCLEX-PN
Thank you for your words! I am assuming that you did pass as it did not say in the post. I am freaking out and super stressed over this. My test day is exactly 7 days away. I am hoping and praying that I will have done enough. It is really good to hear words of encouragement though!! Thanks again!!

So how's everyone doing in their lpn program?
I am happy to get back to class after a 2 1/2 week break on Monday. This will be the last semester for me. I am starting Med-Surg I for 8 wks and end with Med-Surg II. I can't wait to be done. It has been a long haul that felt like an extended episode of Amazing Race, but it will be worth it in the end. I encourage everyone to keep on keeping on....you can do this!!

Do alternates get in the nursing program
I can tell you that I am in a class of 36 and we are on our 2nd alternate. The first one got called about 2 weeks in the program when someone dropped out/got kicked out??? Then that alternate dropped out and the 2nd one got called the 3rd week of class. She was able to acclimate herself to what she missed and caught up nicely....hang in there!!

Please!!! I really need help learning and remembering meds, and their side effects
I freaked out with all the meds too. I think Pharm was one of my most anxiety-giving classes because of all the information. Then one day in clinicals, the head nurse called me over to look at a chart of a client and said "I need to look up the drug that was ordered for this client." She asked me to sit down with her as she pulled out her drug book (the same one we were using in Pharm). She was the head nurse and had been a nurse for 30+ years and still looking up meds. That brought me great comfort to know. Don't freak out...once you start using the meds on a regular basis, you will get the in's and out's down and the rest you can look up. The head nurse (incidently) referred to the drug book as her "bible!"
