  1. I work on a post surgical floor and I have a question about pain meds. I am still on orientation and have asked my preceptor about it but have no really gotten a straight forward response. When a patient asks for pain meds, how do you know which to administer if there are multiple ones ordered. For example if there is oxycodone(immediate release), percocet, or vicodin ordered which would you give? ANd if a patient asks me what the difference between them all, what should be my response; I have given my patients answers to this question but they still look like they are not understanding my response. Can anyone help me out?
  2. I just got accepted in the nursing program that i applied to, but I am getting really nervous after reading all of the posts on the site. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?
