Concorde in Jacksonville?
I have a link that will answer everyones questions about who is accredited and who isn't! http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/lst_trainingprograms.pdf This is directly from the FLORIDA BOARD OF NURSING! These people give you your License! In order to become fully acceredited a school must have atleast 2 graduating classes and 24 students pass the NCLEX. Even FCCJ had to do this before they became accredited. So these schools are not a scam I did my research. And as far as Heritage Inst. I don't know they don't offer a RN or a LPN program and that is what I have did EXTENSIVE research on. I am sorry to hear about your bad experiences. Good Luck @ FCCJ or should I say FSC

ER being taken over by behavioral health patients
"cowpoke rn" Do you live in florida? The ER you discribed sounds EXACTLY like the ER at the hospital I work at. Even the floor the psych unit is on.

They won't allow you to make payments? When I was enrolled in their LPN program I was able to make payments.

What's a good reason to quit nursing school?
I agree with "llg" there are alot of nursing students that should quit school because they are only there because they know that nurses make good money or they just want to beable to say " I'm a RN". The first thing you should do ( if you are a religous person) pray about it. Ask to be led in the right direction. When I did my first set of clinicals I didn't like it that much either but I was excited! I have wanted to be a RN since I can remember and I am not going to let nothing stop me from achieving my dream. Also wait for your next set of clinicals which is more nursing oriented and see if you still feel the same way. if you do..... just let it go honey. Pray he won't lead you in the wrong direction.

RNin10 I will try to take those classes at fccj. Was the NLN hard? Is there alot of Math on it and if so what type of math? Oh and I do check my private messages but I can only do that when I am at work because I don't have a computer at home. I plan on buying one though. I work Tue-Thur 3:30- 10:30 and Sat- Sun 11p-7a. That is why you get such late replies from me.

yeah. Their testing policy is a lil shady. You pay $55 for the app fee then you take the entrance test i made a 30.... then I took a math placement test did horrible and place in elem. alg..... now they shouldn't have even let me take the NET test. It has college alg. on it, I couldn't do it on the placement test what made them think that in 2 days I would be able to do it? Then I had to pay $20 just to take the test. I took it twice so all together I spent $95 for nothing. Then they tried to get me to consider another program.... NO I WANNA BE A NURSE! My adm. rep didn't even call me to say "hey I heard you didn't pass you can always take it agian in 4 months don't give up......" nothing but when I was trying to sign up he called me everyday " just to see how I was doing" lol yeah right. But I would have loved to go there, the school and the program they offered seemed to be what I was looking for but the admission staff totally turned me off. I would have waited the 4 months and studied and took the test again but they just seem concerned with how many students they can enroll they didn't really care about your dreams or what YOU wanted to do with YOUR life.

I took the the entrance test for kieser you need a 20 and it does have multiple choice and they even give you a point or two if you have been out of school for a long time.
