  3. question for nurses

Did you give him tylenol and or advil? The flu/pneumonia is not going to get better after one or two doses of medication, it takes time. Listen to the hospital staff they have seen him and know the situation. Don't forget to increase fluids
  4. What the heck is Optigen?

I think you have a spelling error. Is it type written or are you deciphering someone's bad handwriting? I have gone through every resource I have (including an herbal listing) and find nothing.
  5. Should i go to Crna schol or become m.d?

Anesthesiology residencies are three and four years depending on which program you choose. There are no two year residency programs in any specialty area. As far as salary during residency, yes you can compare the crappy pay to that of a nurse but ...

  10. must allow nursery observation?

I didn't suggest it was "even necessary" to do it, just said it wasn't necessary to freak out about it. Breastfeeding is always a learning experience for the baby and most of the time for the mother as well. The best thing for all parties is to rel...
  11. must allow nursery observation?

Don't wait until you are in labor to present your birth plan to the staff. Write up your birth plan and go talk to the nurse manager of the department. Years ago before we instituted couplet care, the family was required to pay extra to have a nurser...
  12. Confront a fellow nurse or not?

Falsifying documentation ie filling out assessments before a patient arrives is a great way to lose your nursing license. I am pretty sure it is somewhere in the guidelines of your board of nursing that falsifying records is grounds to revoke. This ...
  13. Pca Problem

AMBOO, All hospitals have a chain of command to follow. When you attempted to call the physician and could not reach him you should have instituted your chain of command to help resolve the issue. This takes the legal monkey off your back and places...
