Taking the nln wasn't originally part of their admissions requirements. I should know more tomorrow after my interview...I'll keep u posted...

Yeah, totally doable I took 4 classes last summer...Statistics and Child Psych during Suumer 1 History and Anatomy and Physiology I during Summer 2...all while working fulltime. I also have three kids.

I must not have read it thoroughly, lol..I didn't see anything about a "fitting"...I assumed they would just be scrubs. I know we have to purchase them at orientation though.

Congrats. Yes, it was on the acceptance letter (got one too). You have to send $50 and that little card back within two weeks (might be three) or they give your spot to someone else. Orientation is in May...

so wait...they don't give u the merit awards etc. until the end? Sounds kinds backward to me...so we have to come with the funds up front and sort of be reimbursed?

How long ago did u pay ur deposit? I just paid mine online last night. Not to be nosy..but how does it look? Does it cover everything?

That's not the NLN, that's the NET exam... La Salle won't accept that. I just got the review book yesterday...I am not too happy to find out that there's physics on the NLN...I have never taken physics and why would I have--it's not a nursing prereq....

oh, and as far as cost...Abington is $3,000 per term which honestly isn't that bad considering the "real" schools are like $30,000/year

yes Abington is a diploma but is linked with other schools like La Salle so you can get your BSN. I just graduated from CCP this past December so I'm not really interested in another associates anyway. I'm hoping to either get into La Salle for fall ...

Yup...after the prereqs...so that's what I'm saying...it could all be a waste...make sure you have a backup plan...especially with them doing all this extra stuff to weed you out...now I have to take the NLN which is like another $80 I have to spend....

No, I chose to take them at CCP (community)...it's cheaper, lol. I'm planning on starting this fall (2009). How much more of the prereqs do you need?
