Hi Jordangirl,
It looks like they may calculate the last 60/90 units that you've taken, I think total, so your As and B's may help boost the 2.7. I have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs, and am currently taking Chem this semester. My undergrad GPA wasnt spectactular, but the last 60 units were mostly A's. I had volunteered at a local hospital for a little while, and also at a homeless shelter. In my personal statement, I really tried to emphasize how the accelerated program at CSUF would be a good fit for my future goals, and tried to do the same in the interview. I hope that they are able to increase the class size next year... I know there are alot of qualified applicants out there! You'll get into the program thats right for you... just finish strong in your pre-reqs and try to get some good letters or rec. Start thinking about your personal statement now and have it read by as many folks as you can. Also, apply to different programs that consider applicants based on things other than just primarily GPA.Good luck!
