registered nurse to ultrasound tech
It takes approximately 18 month to become an ultrasound technician. This is full time commitment, I do not think it is possible to work while you are studying, because the US program is very intensive.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Hi everyone. Had my test on June 15 in CA, had 77 questions and still waiting for my results. Had many SATA, lots of infection control, prioritizing and delegation questions. NCLEX really focuses on applying the knowledge, it is mainly application of knowledge and clinical thinking and analysis level. And knowing the lab values were essential in answering many questions. So far I got good pop up.....

visa screen
Hi, I checked the California BON website and find out that they have the fee for ICHP Visa Screen and the fee for certified copies of school transcripts. Did anybody know or ever requested the board to send the transcripts to CGFNC to get the VSC process started. thanks

California for initial licensure not recommended unless one has VISA
Hello, I am a Canadian citizen educated in another country. I got my authorization for interim permit trough the BON in California, didn't sit for NCLEX yet. I got a job offer from the nursing home. Could you please help me to find out if I need to go through Visa Screen program to get my TN visa?If I didn't obtain my education in Canada do I still need to apply for the Visa Screen certificate or showing the evaluation process done by the CA BON will be satisfactory for the customs. And if I need VSC, can I ask BON send them the copies of my transcripts?(it was very hard to manage them to be sent from my schools) Thank you very much.

New mom wanted to go to a Nursing School
Hi! Congratulations with the Baby! It is a blessing to have your own and take care of him/her by yourself. I was in the same situation as you 3 years ago. I couldn't wait to go back to school, I was motivated and my daughter was 3 month old when I went back to school. During the second semester I started to realize that I made a wrong decision. Although physically and mentally I am quite a strong person I should have waited for year or two to regain my full strength back and to let my baby grow stronger near her mommy. So, I withdrew then..... I took two years off, cared for my sweetheart, and now continuing with my education. Wish you all the best. And please take your time, school can wait, but your Baby needs YOU now! Good luck!
