  1. What to do after SEC assessment?

You'll need a canadian textbook and the code of ethics to know your scope of practice, and probably info on that specifically for BC. I would contact the University if they have any book suggestions....
  2. You only ask for a temporary licence if you need that, like if you have an employer, a confirmed start date and a visa to do so. And then you want the licence just shortly before you start your new...
  3. I'm a bit surprised when I read your comment, of course you do need your general knowledge, but the CNA prep guide is the closest to the exam you can get. Maybe you would profit from a review course...
  4. Filipino nurses in Texas

so what? they are still all called visas.
  5. I would review all areas in general nursing (canadian textbook!), read and study the code of ethics carefully. For the actual test the best prep guide is the CNA one.

She doesn't need an english test for the Texas BON if the program and textbooks were in english, but if she needs Visa Screen, she will need to take an english test for that.
  7. Filipino nurses in Texas

You're posting wrong info here: They are all called visa, have a look at the US Department of State website. Just different types of visas.

  9. Let's say initially it saves you money, and you don't risk loosing your NCLEX results when applying to a different board that doesn't destroy your files. California for some reason is a dream of many...

  11. Dual Citizen from Philippines to US

Are you a dual citizen? If not, you ask in the wrong thread.
  12. yeah, most are but probably not for long. I know that people from Ontario are allready moving, so when you can recruit in the country first, you won't look overseas. The guys who applied in Alberta...
  13. Just to add, because of the economy problems, I guess the the embassy is double checking if the job offer is still in place.
  14. And are you applying or have you applied and got the job?? For the TWP you need a job offer, if your employer sticks to it and you fulfill all other requirements you shouldn't have any problems.
  15. You can look it up yourself on the cic site under the visa section. Every Embassy has different waiting times. In London for instance it used to be 6-8 weeks.
  16. I am from... to help...

  17. I don't think the purpose is the problem, the problem is, they doubt that you're going back afterwards, because too many people didn't. Do you know someone in Canada who could act as a guarantor?...
  18. I cannot speak for Silverdragon, but believe it or not, some people here do care. Most applicants from the Philippines are quite young, and nobody can say if they are not moving eventually again. For...
  19. In Honour of Canada Day, July 1: A Little Canadiana

That's a safe bet:) I'm moving next week, I'm in the middle of chaos right now!

They advise you to take CRNE at the next opportunity, requirements might change and then you might not be eligible anymore.
  22. CRNE where can i take

There is a sticky on top of this forum, I suggest to read that one, your questions will be all answered I guess.
  23. I am from... to help...

if you're working somewhere and get a new collegue from out of the country and you're to mentor that one, you put a lot of work and effort into it, besides your own work that you have to do, and if...
  24. I am from... to help...

And what I was telling you is it does matter under what claim people are doing this. Of course it's allright if you come temporary and then move on, but it's not allright if you claim you want to...
  25. crne exam

Strange question, what do you mean exactly? You can move worldwide from Canada, it's not a compound or prison. Nothing changes for the US, you will have to meet US BON requirements. Are you looking...
