  1. I do not know about the policy, however, I will say I drew off centrals and picks and administered meds in school as well as took out PICC's... I wouldn't get too caught up in the "discrimination" part of the program, it's highly unlikely. Good luck.

I took my boards last May on a Thursday morning and my name was on the board of nursing the next day at 6am. Pearson site did not show I passed for a week or so. Just check for your name on the BON.
  3. I would absolutely go for your RN. My understanding is, LPN's work in LTC. Everyone in my classes were non traditional students with families so don't let that discourage you from attending the program. They are hard programs wherever you go, but they have to be in order for you to pass the boards. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  4. I too am a new grad and I have easily applied to over 75 positions to hospitals in NH and Maine and received not ONE reply back. I called Wentworth Douglas, Goodall, York, Exeter, and SMMC checking up on my applications only to be told "they DO NOT hire new grad's". Portsmouth has a so-called "new grad" program, yet, when I called to follow up one my applications their reply was; "we get 1000's" of applications for the selected positions" and to continue to apply ELSEWHERE!!!! WOW!! So, needless to say the market continues to suck for everyone especially new grads. GOOD LUCK!!! It's brutal out there.
  5. I took the NCLEX 3 weeks after my final. Studied the last 1.5 weeks. I passed the first time with 75Q's. Good luck.
  6. Maine. Usually by midnight the following day it's up. Good luck to you.
  7. So I took my exam yesterday, 5/27 it shut off at 75. Today my name was on the states BON site! I PASSED!
  8. I took my boards yesterday 5/27 shut off at 75 did the pvt 20 minutes after finishing the exam and got the good pop up. Woke up this morning to a phone call from a good friend saying my name was on the BON website!! I PASSED!!! Good luck everyone!
  9. I took the NCLEX today, shut off at 75 got the pop up on Pearson's site...hoping this trick really works!!! Has anyone heard of it NOT working?? Now the wait begins...
  10. I am taking my exam on the 27th, TWO days! I am getting so nervous, and running out of brain space from all the studying!!! Good luck to everyone taking the boards soon!!!
  11. Sadly, I have done the exact same thing as you and unfortunately am in the same boat. Funny that I too am a fellow New Englander! Hopefully we will catch something soon.
