  1. I'm in tears, and I'm speechless. I think you are one of the strongest women ever. Thank you for writing this.
  2. They lied to you. You owe them nothing.
  3. Um, what?
  4. Our class admitted 100 students, and graduated 50.
  5. How bad is it that my mind went immediately there? Whips, chains, leather,...!
  6. Congratulations! Hard work paid off for you. Best of luck in your career.
  7. I am very happy for you. Congratulations!
  8. This is unnecessarily rude and uncalled for.
  9. I believe you're right. To me, a sign-on bonus screams "We have no help and we need you" OR "We can't keep help and we need you". I've been in both situations.
  10. And this is off-topic and may sound incredibly nit-picky, but if you're not yet a nurse, the site doesn't permit you to use "nurse" in your user name.
  11. This course will be crucial to excel in because everything hereafter will build on it. Truly. If I may offer a tiny piece of advice... know this stuff. Read everything. And then read it again. Continued success to you!
  12. You say it's your dream job. If that's so, then I am very happy for you. Only you can determine what's right for you. I wish you the very best of luck and success!
  13. Why should you feel like a loser? You made every effort in extenuating circumstances to get where you needed to be, and it just didn't work out. I'm sorry about that. I understand the taking of a different test at another time, but the deduction of 10 points seems harsh. In my class, one point made the difference in passing for two of my classmates. Nursing school is an animal like no other. Rules and policies are what they are. I suppose there's a lesson here about preparation and professionalism (which will come in handy in your career). My advice is to accept it, own it, learn from it and move on. You'll be graduating and on your own soon enough. Best wishes for your continued success!
  14. I'm wondering if maybe it's because they handle money all day. Cash, as you know, is very dirty. Are all the cashiers wearing gloves?
  15. This is not your problem. Nope. Nope. Nope.
  16. Don't. It happens to everyone. Good luck at the new job!
  17. Wait. What???
  18. It was awful. But YOU, my friend, are awesome!
  19. The OP isn't even a nurse yet. And now I'm going to shut the hell up before I say something about non-nurses telling nurses how they should act and feel without walking a mile in my shoes. Or something like that. SMDH.
  20. My school not only allowed the recording of lectures, but actively encouraged it. An hour after lecture, the recording was made available for download. I'd review my notes and reading, and if necessary I'd listen again to the lecture. It could not have been more convenient.
  21. I'm going to have to echo the poster who said get the **** out now. These people (your management) aren't providing you with the basic standard equipment to assess the most basic of patient information. They obviously do not care one whit about those poor residents. I can assure you that they don't care about you. Please. You seem to be a responsible, caring individual who wants to do the right thing. The first step I see is to get out now.
