  1. I'm Sa. I live in Houston. I'm originally from Germany. I'm just starting out in finding the 'right' information on how to get into nursing. I'm contemplating whether it's best to start of with CNA and work myself up or go right into it... . My husband actually found me this site and so far I have learned so much stuff that I didn't find researching in the last month on my own. So thank you! Hopefully soon, I can free myself from the corporate world and do something worth while! It's exciting, as well as nerve wrecking. I hope I'll do okay!
  2. Thank you so much for being so helpful! I took your advice and went to my local community college today. thank you very much and also thank you for guiding me around here. i'm new as well, which im sure you've noticed, hehe. thank you very much!!
  3. How do i find the Texas Nurses Forum? I've looked under forums, but couldn't exactly find it.
  4. I've looked through the majority of threads and couldn't really find what I'm looking for. I'm 24 and live in Houston. I would really like to get into the medical field, nursing etc. I'm not sure how to go about it. I will start from the bottom and work myself up, but I can't find any good and accredited information on how to start. I was told that within a few weeks/month you can be qualified for LPN or LVN and get your foot in the door and then just work yourself up. Is that really possible? If so, I would love to know how to do it, because I've been searching for months and I've found next to nothing. I know this is a lot to ask, but can you guys assist me in finding the right direction to start with? I figured people in the industry would know a lot more than I do. I appreciate all the help I can get. I'm in a job profession at the moment that I hate and I'm miserable doing it, and I don't want to keep jumping to different things when it's not somehthing I will ever enjoy. Thank you very much!
