  1. I love the Med Couture scrubs by Peaches. A little pricey but well worth the money! It's all I ever wear now!
  2. You cannot actually attach the tube in the hub till needle in vein or you will loose the vaccumn in the tube! I just stick the pt then put the hub in hand holding the needle & pop tubes with other hand. Hope this helps or @ least makes sense! If butterfly is in the vein good you can actually let go of needle if you are careful! I am 3rd semester nursing student, but did labwork as an MLT for 10 yrs!
  3. PRCC ADN student here! Have you tried emailing your instructors for the info? It's worth a shot! Our instructor sent us email with ISBN # for our books!
  4. Hi! I was an MLT w/an Associated Degree! I am now starting my second yr of ADN program! Run! Don't do MLT! Just kidding! It was an ok program! It contains lots of micro, immunology, hematology, urology, etc. I worked for about 8 yrs in the lab & was also crosstrained in xrays! Enjoyed it but always felt like something was missing! I originally wanted RN but got sidetracked! There is just limited opportunity with lab degree compared to RN! I would recommend shadowing the fields you are interested in to see what is really involved! Good luck in whatever you decide!
  5. I'm student nurse @ PRCC. Will graduate in May with an ADN! We will make it Ang!
  6. I would email the instructor! He is the only one that will know for sure what is required! All I ever needed for A&P I & II was the book & lab manual!
  7. I would take micro in the summer & put off getting pregnant till I graduate! But that's just me! Nursing school is tough on its on! You don't want the added stress of pregnancy & then a newborn! Good luck in whatever you decide!
  8. My school is about 70 miles away! Takes about 1 1/2 hrs by the time I get kids to where they need to be!
  9. You can do it! Just hang in there! I'm taking 8wk Micro class right now! We can both make it through this!
  10. I agree with being fashionably late to shower! You don't want to jeopardize all your hard work when you are so close to being finished with school!
  11. Congrats on getting in! Just enjoy your summer & relax! :onbch: They will teach you the basics! You will have plenty time to stress later!
  12. Congrats!!!!!! :clpty:
  13. Maybe I am missing something! What exactly is it your looking for?
  14. I'm sure you did fine! We have to have 100% on our calculation test each semester! Would love to have multiple choice!
  15. Congrats! I'm level 2 also! Hard to believe we have less than yr left!
  16. I get in trouble for my writing all the time! :grn: Only solution is to print anything I can't type.
  17. Relax & enjoy your summer! :onbch: Because life will never be the same!
  18. :ancong!:

  20. OMG! That is horrible! There are sooo many people who would've adopted that adorable little boy!
  21. Congrats! :clpty:
  22. I throw my scrubs in the dryer before get in the shower. When get out of shower pull wrinkle free scrubs out & put them on. Don't have time to iron.
  23. I have trouble with this too! Really hope someone has good answer!
  24. OMG! I thought I had it bad! Our white button up uniform top & white pants look great compared to that dress! Congratulations on getting in!
