we usually do a case by case... but under 3 months old gets brought back RIGHT away.. no waiting in the lobby for newborns with fevers.

We only have 3-4 patients at most in our ER, but if we have an ICU or an acute patient, the charge nurse will help out till we get that patient to the floor.

On all of our Acute MI patients, we usually run NTG with Saline and Heparin....If ordered that is. They are compatible.

congrats! i took mine in april and passed on the first try....with 265 questions!!! just hang in there, wear comfy clothes, and take breaks when you need them. you'll make it out alive, i swear. do something relaxing the day before- i took an NCLEX...

i just graduated in december and i got a job in the emergency room. i love it, i dont think i could EVER go back to floor nursing! i love the adrenaline rush! yay.
