That's what I was thinking (about the recruiter). She screened the applicants first during the last program opening. It's going to be like winning the lottery for those 11
Thank you for the post about Memorial! I was just going to ask if anyone had heard from them. Are the unit managers conducting the phone interviews or the recruiter? Thanks
With Sharp in the past, no rejection emails are sent out to applicants (unlike Scripps who sent out emails). If you don't get a call to set up a phone interview, then that's it...you don't hear...
In the past, they call and schedule an appointment for the phone interview first then to a panel interview (at Memorial). It sounds like CV goes straight to the panel
Your stats sound similar to mine. I have two B.S. degrees and am still getting rejections. It's so hard to figure out what each hospital is looking for. Sharp's process is so intense and drawn out and...
That is awesome. I guess I'm out of the running then. What kind of experience do you have? Do you have any nursing experience since graduating? Did they phone interview you first? Good
Exactly. There are tons of RN's working as CNA's and volunteers as well as other positions at Sharp. I know a few people who worked one or two days a week as CNA's during school to get experience and...
From what I was gathering from the recruiter, Sharp was trying to set a high standard for their interview process and the profession of nursing on a whole starting with the last round of the new grad...
Thanks for the info! They are probably hiring for the system wide program now. The person who interviewed me mentioned that some new grads would go through the initial portion of the program and then...
Yes, Sharp is VERY different from Scripps or even Palomar. They tend to hire from within and like to see long term commitment. This of course is just from my own experience with both
It's definitely a good idea to apply for everything to get your name in the system and it's good interviewing experience if you get a call. I've been through two of these with interviews, but...
I didn't get an email confirmation the last round of applications in Nov., just a phone call from the recruiter for a phone interview. I think with 1500+ applications (probably even more now), some of...
I'm just considering the fact that a bulk email like that would only be sent out to all who have been hired or they would have waited to send it out until after Monday. You'll notice all the...
I went to school locally with a BSN. Most of the people I know who were hired at any of the local hospitals were either CNA's or PCA's during school or knew someone on the inside. It's all about...
I'm new to this thread, but wanted to add some info. I know people who got positions earlier this week at Memorial, Chula Vista and Encinitas. I too am waiting for some kind of answer and haven't...
I'm only applying to the NU program as CSUSM would take me twice as long to fulfill the pre-requisites. They require a foreign language pre-req. and you can either test out or take 2 or 4 classes...
Hi Future Nurses, I came across this thread and thought I'd piggyback on some of the questions...I too am getting ready to apply for the nursing program at NU -Accelerated BSN for non-RN's (career...
