I just graduated 2007 and a registered nurse now...i am so glad to hear that there are nurses who still want to return into service after a long time of absence...anyways, i know, there are people...
it's just a matter of discussing it, on how to deal w/ new admits at shift change...if you come to think of it...the one responsible should be the incoming nurse, if she is already there, usually...
:up:there are some hospitals who provide training and seminars in special areas like the one you are looking for...since they have some requirements/documents i think everything is in your hands...
:yeah:good for you you have found good preceptors...though not all are like that...but in some areas..there really existing people who would like to make newbies life miserable...but what i usually...
:yeah:know what?i certainly agree w/ you...it's really the attitude...and what we also call "crab mentality"...new nurses should be welcome w/ compassion....a pleasant environment for them to learn...

It was so soooo sad... there are really people around with that kind of attitude...knowing we are in the healthcare industry and must work as a team...INSECurity!!!! that's the right term..it's true...
