To answer simply, YES it is possible. There are several programs. It used to be NP programs were only open to those with a Bachelors or Masters but things are a changing and for the better. Mona b has provided some links worth investigating. Best o...
I would venture to say nearly all would hire you without a BSN unless the facility is working on Magnet status then they may want some type of agreement from you indicating you will get your BSN. You could get your RN, secure a job and continue for y...
Hi Cheri, So far, those of us who finished the program in December 2005 have a 4/4 first time pass rate on the RN boards. According to DCN administration, we are the first class to benefit from all the additional implementations and changes. On a no...
THANK YOU so much! It is soooooo nice to see positive feedback. Rest assured your job is fine as I am going to continue with my distance education for my masters in Family Nurse Practitioner. Will take me about 3 years.........but I will do it! Tha...

Thanks to all for your kindness. I still can't wipe the smile from my face. It has been a long haul but worth it as many of you told me at the beginning of my journey. Thanks again,
Ahh, Shucks thanks :icon_hug: Now stop getting so sappy and get out there and do the dance. You know we worked darn hard to do the dance. Wanna go to Vegas!! Congrats to you too.
Check the SBON website. The woman at Pearson testing center told me the results for PA may be available within 48 hours. Best to you. http://www.licensepa.state.pa.us/
This is correct. I also went to DCN and all my clinicals were in my state. The validations are at the school. Validations and clinicals are not the same this is where some of the confusion may be coming from. How are things going NICURNtobe?
My ASN indicates it is from the school of nursing I attended. There is no distinction of what was online and what was on campus as is the same with the other schools I attended. Check the NLN accreditation for ASN degrees.
Good for you. If you are the person for the job, it will be yours. If not you have gained additional interviewing skills which can only benefit you in the future. You have a positive, and open mind to learning and that is a big plus. Keep your goa...
According to the NCSBN website, Pennsylvania is not one of the states which has the quick results. Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of how long it takes to get results or is there a way to check online for PA results? Thanks in advance

.Good tip, I think I will start looking into a Laser printer. On top of the fact that ink is $$ for the one I currently have, it is not the fastest thing on the earth even though it is less than a year old.
Well maybe......you and I did chat many moons ago about PDAs and I did attend NCC for x-ray even many more moons ago. We never did get together for lunch did we? How are things with you? I see graduate nurse behind your name did you sit for boards?...
I checked this program out and the clinical is done with a "sister" school in the US. That is where I am checking the accredidation as this school also has to be NLN approved in order to sit for PA boards.
