Is this board only for support though...or is it to come to to get honest opinions from a broad variety of people? I guess I'm generally a supportive person, but it isn't my goal to always be...
You should also be very careful about doing pt care while techinically clocked out. IF something were to happen...what would the liability be there? There's definately a problem with that
I pull mine back in a clip. (also a new nurse) It's not as trendy as a pony with a band...but if I wear pony's too long I get severe headaches. This way, I let it down when I sit to chart. I'm...

I think it depends on the hospital where you work. I've heard of some that treat the LPN's poorly, and others that there's little difference between RN and LPN. (am I allowed to respond to this forum...
For clinicals, I went with the Littmann Classic II. It was great for what I could afford. Now I'm a new nurse training into the CCU and I'm going to invest in the
I thought Saunders was very similar. I went to the prioritizing section and did many of those. I usually scored in the 75% range..and passed first try with 75

Unless you have money to waste...not preparing just isn't a good decision. I felt prepared to take the NCLEX the day I graduated. My RN predictor gave me a 97% prabability of passing...and through...
Well said...I'm quickly learning that while we should try to do everything the "right way"....real life just isn't always compatable. I've never thought ill of my kids nurses...and never will for not...
We were taught to asperate IM and Z-track any irritating injections. However....I'm interested to see others responses. As a parent...I've NEVER seen a nurse asperate on my infant's or children's...
No..not "discriminate" but that shouldn't be the school's concern. By your terms they already discriminate against those who can't afford school. I worked my way through school...put $3000 into my van...
lol- yea I always laugh when I see the drs on House giving meds. Rediculous. Wouldn't happen. Then...with 4 of them standing there monitoring the pts reaction to said
