As a foreign student (IT) with 2 pre adult teens, I decided very early that though a very active and good bedside nurse (and Midwife) I would need to diversify to survivebtge US economy. Higher by a fraction and maybe not my foreign student status gouged into my pocket book within a semester (Bible College X12 credit @$220/credit +4 extra creditsvpiled on to my clueless psyche!.....) I decided to bid at auctions and vend at the local flea market while I waited for the promised oncampus job @4.25/° or immigration to hear the desperate cries of a battered student TRYING to stay afloat.... I did receive 1year temp license, do a paper and pencil test, receive and promptly file away an unsuccessful NCLEx RN esult. I was offered a free pilot seat in the new CAT and not sure if I ever received the results.....
