  9. ICU vs ER Critical Car experience.....

ICU is almost always preferred, some say they will accept ER, but in the comperitive market of CRNA, what is acceptible is not usually gonna get you in! 3.0 GPA is acceptable, but not going to get you in. Friend of mine, not accepted and he has 10 ...
  10. does being a paramedic complement an EDRN?

I think it helps with skills, but I think assessment in the ED is just natural with medic experience. I was a medic 10 years and just finished my practicum(RN) in the ED.

  17. please help with these ABG's

To me it always seems like people make ABG's a little more complicated then they need to be. >7.40 = alk cause of alk = low co2 (resp)or high bicarb(met). Your senario is high bicarb so it is metabolic alkolosis with respiratory compensation. ...

  22. Why Critical Care?

I am graduating next month a took a job in the Surgical Trauma ICU of a level 1 trauma center. I think this may be a hard assignment for a new grad, but I was a medic for 10 years and like the autonomy and the critical thinking..... GOOD LUCK!

Many times higher sciences(organic, physics) are not required but the people you will be competing with for spots will probably have extensive sciences. I am going to take organic, and entry physics prior to applying. Finishing my bsn MAy 07
