  3. Worst Case: Choosing Who Survives in a Flu Epidemic

Can you direct me to the thread? I think I can predict the ending, but would like to hear the rationale for the choice. I think the decision would have to be handled with secrecy whichever way it goes. It's an interesting (and likely) scenario.

  6. So I guess these children are stuck with the bogus names forever because it's now listed on their birth certificates. I wonder if the deception might come back to haunt them later on in life. For example, the real father can't claim them now.
  7. Pain in childbirth 'a good thing'

  8. Stethoscope cleaning

As a patient who doesn't have the guts to request or remind nurses and docs about good hygiene, I thank you. I have one doc who just lets the water run over his fingertips a couple of seconds and then wipes them on his coat to dry.

  14. NP discusses MJ on national TV ????

I asked the HIPAA question on one of the doctor blogs I read, and one of the posters wrote back that dead people aren't covered by HIPAA. They didn't give any source for the opinion, though. I wonder if it's a grey area. I have a feeling that the new...
