  1. I'm 26 with 5 year old twins and a baby due in March. I hope to get into the nursing program at a community college near me that offers an associate's degree in nursing in 2008. Are you required to take the NET or some nursing entrance test? I'm not sure if it's as hard to get into the program here in PA as where you're from, but I'm trying to stay positive. I'll take pre-req classes in the meantime though. If you are required to take a nursing entrance test, get yourself a study guide, because my math was RUSTY! and I was pretty good at it in school. Good luck to you and me and everyone else trying to get into nursing school.
  2. 21, but one should really be about 50.
  3. I'm hoping to be accepted into an associate's degree program of nursing in 2008. I am with child and due in March of 2007, and also have 5 year old twins. Here are a few questions. If I take pre-requisite courses before the program starts, would this mean the school days of the nursing program will be shorter? I took advanced placement classes in high school and was on the dean's list the first and only year i attended college. Should I expect to do well? English has always been my best subject and I'm very good at memorizing. This question is for women who attended nursing school while pregnant, or with young children. What was it like? What is a typical day as an RN in a hospital? What does an RN do for a patient exactly? Can RNs choose where to work, like in labor and delivery, or are they assigned? Thanks very much, Amanda
