Call some of the other schools in your area and ask about their policies. Many of the schools in my area don't allow for transfer, except in extreme situations (mostly because of the differences in program layout). Definitely contact the admissions ...

My suggestion would be to read through, or even skim through the highlights, possibly jot down a couple of notes if you're so inclined, but over all...don't stress. Running through the highlights before class will help you in that it won't be complet...
