I realized I wanted to be a nurse when I helped rehab athletes with injuries while participating in sports medicine in high school. I became an EKG technician for 4 years and then joined nursing as a correctional and emergency room nurse. I moved to the Covid ICU for 3 years, then into nursing education as a professor, then back to the level I trauma center ER. I am now working on becoming a nurse writer so that I can be home more for my growing family. I have twins on the way.
