    In 1994 a classmate of mine (we graduated with BSN in 1992) worked as a CNA -until I got married an moved away since there were no RN positions in the hospital where we worked.

    Absolutely!! Chemistry came into play even more when I worked in the ICU-can't imagine not understanding those concepts in that arena.

    I think it helped me look at Pharmaceuticals that are given to my patients much differently. I also had to take Physics along with Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Well worth it.

    That is what I have seen. There are standing orders, etc. but there are a lot of judgement calls being made on the MD's behalf. I would be quite uncomfortable in that role.

    I haven't heard of any since at least 2001 or 2002 in the areas I have worked. Many new grads are looking for ANY job-more applicants than jobs-the bonus is probably pretty rare.
