    Supply vs. demand. The sonographers had to be on call a couple times per week-weekends and nights-more workload since there are less to do the work.

    If I have a fever-I don't go in. A cold I take decongestant-if I have a runny nose or a cough that can't be calmed with medicine then I stay home. I wash my hands frequently or hand sanitizer....

    You may have to ask the HIM department. Where I have worked the patient or family could not look at the chart unless they filled out proper paperwork.

    When I have a diabetic patient that is one of the FIRST questions I ask after the admitting diagnosis-what was his blood sugar?-there is more than enough blame to go around here.

    I am only aware of programs that are RN to MSN not LPN to MSN but they may be out there.

    Many clinical instructors have their BSN not their MSN (this is what I have seen). I am an RN with a BSN and soon MSN in Education and won't be teaching in a university or technical nursing program....

    If they gave an urgent care, ED, ICU or Med-Surg or ambulatory surgery department that still cares for peds patients-up to the teen years then yes, PALS would be needed IMO.

    I got a waterproof Timex from Target or other department store-I've had mine for years-stretchy band was important so I could take it off easily and put in my pocket if needed.
