I am a registered nurse turned freelance writer whose mission is to help major healthcare brands achieve their content marketing goals. After earning my BSN-RN in 2020, I was thrust into the healthcare world amidst the emerging COVID-19 pandemic. I quickly learned the essentials of nursing in the acute care hospital setting. Over the next couple of years, I gained experience in home health, long-term care, and ambulatory care, and now I work part-time for an outpatient surgical center specializing in pain management. Over the years I have worked with patients from many different backgrounds who have struggled with various health issues. With time, I've found that my favorite aspect of nursing- in every setting- is the opportunity to provide high-quality patient education. I strive to achieve this with every new piece of content I create.
I am a loving wife to my husband, Ben, and a mother to one adorable boy (plus another on the way- due March 2024!) I started my health writing journey because I was dissatisfied with the amount of time I was spending outside of my home; as much as I love patient care, I'm also a passionate homemaker. Combined with my talent for writing and experience in the nursing profession, I see freelance health writing as an opportunity to advance my career while spending more quality time with my family.
When I'm not busy writing or working at the surgical center, I can be found cooking and baking from scratch, chasing my crazy toddler, practicing my faith, and singing for weddings on the side!
