  1. This is a repost but it is very important. I am currently in the program. PLLLLEEEAAAASSSEEE reconsider this choice. Know a few things: 1) you will be spoken to poorly by administration, 2) You will get outdated and regurgitated lectures, a bunch of links to YouTube and random research articles 3), You will spend an unnecessary and disgusting amount of time "reflecting" and re-charting documentation you have already done once for your clinicals, and 4) The only way they help you with finding clinical sites is when you pay the school-run agency to place you (and they get kick-backs!!). Several students must pay $1,500-$2,000 per term, so you must factor that in to your tuition calculation. Do not worry about getting in, literally everyone who applies gets in. The bar is not high, though they advertise it otherwise. Please consider Georgetown, Yale or Duke. Otherwise do Purdue online and just get the degree. The biggest mistake of my career that I love is choosing this program. If you decide to go forward, find a couple of friends early and develop relationships. At least you can commiserate together and support each other during moments of payment regret. They will take your money. "Professors" are robots that basically moderate whether or not the automated system recognized an assignment you turned in. Think of all your worst nursing professor bullies, then apply that thought to every one of your classes. Smoke in mirrors and embarrassing. We literally feel violated.
  2. Do not do it!! GWU is a terrible program. The name will not get you anywhere. Study hard, be passionate and remain professional. You will get a job. There is so much need for PMHNPs right now.
